Modern-day rattan chairs are typically made with a light metal frame and a woven nylon seat and backrest. They retain the charm of a traditional rattan chair but are more suited to frequent everyday outdoor use. Furthermore, maintenance is much easier and requires little more than a wipe over with a damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

Polypropylene chairs

Polypropylene chairs are designed mostly for outdoor use only and because they are relatively inexpensive, they offer a cheap and easy way of setting up an outdoor dining area.
